Good to talk about considering the nokia 1520  review

Dropbox Policy Change

Hi James,
We want to let you know about some upcoming updates to ourTerms of Service and Privacy Policy. These updates will go into effect on March 24, 2014.
You can find more details on our blog, but here’s a quick overview:
  • We’re adding an arbitration section to our updated Terms of Service. Arbitration is a quick and efficient way to resolve disputes, and it provides an alternative to things like state or federal courts where the process could take months or even years. If you don’t want to agree to arbitration, you can easily opt out via an online form, within 30-days of these Terms becoming effective. This form, and other details, are available on our blog.
  • We’ve added a section to our Privacy Policy that discusses our recently launched Government Data Request Principles. We’ve also made clarifications to better explain how our services will use your information. For example, we explain that when you give us access to your contacts, we’ll store them so that you – and only you – can do things like share your stuff easily, no matter what device you’re using.
  • We’ve also updated our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to better explain and reflect our growing list of features for Dropbox for Business customers.
While we’ve simplified much of the language, our commitment to keeping your stuff safe and secure hasn’t changed. We don’t sell your personal information to third parties. We don’t serve ads based on the stuff you store in our services. As always, your stuff is yours.
If you have any questions about these updates, you can read more on our blog or email us at
Linked in news - get rid of those trolls

After the company received repeated requests for a blocking feature, the company announced Thursday that users will now be able to block or report those on LinkedIn they don't want contact with, according to a company blog post. If a user blocks another LinkedIn member, the two will no longer have access to each other's profiles. If the users were connected, the connection will be broken, and neither user will be able to message the other.

A new way to test the validity of social media news feeds.

The system will categorise the sources of information to assess their authority. Categories include news outlets, journalists, experts, eye witnesses, members of the public and bots - accounts that automatically generate social media posts.
It will also examine accounts for a history or background to try to identify whether the account has been created just to spread rumours.
Conversations on social networks will be studied to see how they evolve and sources will be checked to see if information can be confirmed or denied.
"Only text will be analysed," said Dr Bontcheva.
"We will not be doing image analysis, so we won't be looking to see if a photo has been altered - it's too technically difficult."

Facebook and WhatsApp and the fun begins!
In announcing Facebook’s $19 billion acquisition of WhatsApp Wednesday, CEO Mark Zuckerberg assured that the messaging app with 450 million users would remain ad-free. By contrast, the social networking giant on Thursday unveiled deeper targeting options to bolster its burgeoning ad business that made the WhatsApp purchase possible.

Major Apple security flaw could allow hackers to pwn iOS devices, computers
Joe Menn at Reuters: "A major flaw in Apple Inc software for mobile devices could allow hackers to intercept email and other communications that are meant to be encrypted, the company said on Friday, and experts said Mac computers were even more exposed." There's an OS update.
How bad is it? "It's as bad as you could imagine, that's all I can say," said Johns Hopkins University cryptography professor Matthew Green.

EU App Economy
  • EU developers took in $23.7 billion (€17.5 billion) in revenue in 2013, and we forecast that figure will increase to $85.3 billion (€63 billion) in five years. But you might be surprised where a lot of that revenue comes from. In addition to $8.1 billion (€6.0 billion) in app sales, in-app spending for virtual goods, and advertising, EU developers recognized $15.6 billion (€11.5 billion) in 2013 from contract labor. And much of the developer-for-hire business is for companies that aren’t really in the app business per se but use apps to support and market their mainstream offerings like financial services, retailing, and packaged goods.
